Hi Ed, if your early kit is felt bushing, then you are likely to encounter
many of the issues that I detailed in my earlier posts in reply to you, and
Nick Gravagne's comments will still apply as well.

I have an early WNG kit, and the springs are steel colored. Damn strong to
begin with, too!

Renner springs are pure beryllium copper.  Are these WNG springs by 
chance plated to look like beryllium copper on the outside but 
something harder like steel on the inside?
