Follow up on the use of Wood Rebuilder product from Ruth Phillips for this particular repair. Sequenced photos. Mixed a batch that was just a bit saggy, not runny but not stiff. Built a damn for the underside (one of those Renner parts sticks). Shoveled the repair product in place and then flattened it with a paint stick. Both the lower damn and the paint stick were sprayed with a Mold Release Formula first. The first picture, after the picture of the to-be-repaired area is after the paint stick was pressed into place. I just held it there for about 5 minutes until the mixture hardened. Carved away the overflow and the area into which the glide goes before it hardened. Sanded it flush with some sandpaper glued to a flat block, etc. This total repair sequence took about 90 minutes from start to finish. Still a little bit of color matching to do but overall a very nice, easy to use and fast product.
