Still something to restore!  So…Debussy or someone?  Nice project, anyway. Good luck!  Composers were better travel equipped by then.  Still,  who may have touched it??  It's a fascinating story and it has lots to tell.

OK, so, I've had a nice reply trom David Winston of Period Piano.  It seems that this Collard & Collard dates from about 1870, not 1826. Apparently they had different series of numbers for different models.  1870 certainly makes more sense. They are not that rare a model, David says.

So my excitement has died down a little!  But it's still nice.
