I have substantial experience with Collard and Collards from throughout their manufacture. Please feel free to contact me. Do send lots of photos. Collard & Collards have many numbers on them, and can be quite difficult to date accurately. Pierce is no help at all for this make. For the record, Malcolm Rose does not supply the correct type of wire for this piano. Depending upon the year (which is most likely NOT 1828, btw), Stephen Birkett's 'new' historically accurate wire may be correct, but more likely it will need the slightly later wire which he is still in the process of getting into production.
