I use them only for the occasional bushing that's "fallen and can't get out".  I do a lot of bushings and tweezers usually work fine, of course I might have an old pair of bent nose hemostats left over from the 60's......
Thanks for the tip on how to tweak 'em.  No tool is right until it's tweaked IMHO.

Laura,
Try a pair of Bent Nose Hemostats, Medium size or the Small size, if that's
all you can find. Neat thing about those is they can remain on you
fingers/hand, while doing other chores and can lock if needed or not. grind
one "notch" off and you'll have to really bear down to get them to lock.
All other methods, when taking key bushings out, fall short, for
efficiency, imo.
