For reasons that are not entirely clear, I have 88 unused Steinway shanks and flanges from the teflon era. Photo attached.
 
I think I remember reading that some can still use these things.
 
If you are interested in making use of them, make an offer.
 
Amazing what one can find buried in piano tech shops....
