Makes one wonder if the key pinned to the wippen, as in early Knabe uprights and grands, was a better and more thought out idea than many of us have assumed? (Who've been faced with working on these models.) Because, by that arrangement, you have an actual crank --- rather than a cam. (From an admitted, pre-American Piano Company era Knabe appreciator.
