I found a beautiful old letoff tool with an octagonal rosewood handle under about an inch of dust in the bottom of an old upright. It is a better shape than the modern equivalent, shallower, with the top edges of the cup curved, so it is less likely to bend the eyelets and break them off. I've use it almost every day for twenty-five years. Somebody must have been upset about losing that tool, but hopefully he got over it before passing on.
