Susan,

When I worked in a where house, with other tuners, they would always be cussing and swearing at their pianos. I would always smile and say, Come on darling, help me now sweet heart. I guess I just thought I could get better results by relaxing and coaxing the piano.

I'm glad I don't clench my teeth. I can tell I've been at it too long
when I find myself talking out loud to the note. "Come on, dear heart, you can do
better than that ..." (the piano, not me ...)

      Okay...

Today, while tuning a piano, I was coming up on pitch on a particular note and I needed to tweak it just a smidgen higher. Along with my attempt at barely moving the tuning pin in the pinblock, I found myself trying to coax the pitch up by raising my eyebrows. >:-) Then I noticed I've been doing that a lot... <:-/

Anyone else notice unusual facial or physical traits like this, or am I unique in my facial tuning? >:-)
