Joseph,

I was finally successful at getting on Google Groups. It took repeated 
attempts. I had to delete my gmail account several times, and like you, I 
clicked on the reply and after jumping through several hoops and one phone 
call from Google with a verification number, I'm subscribed. Thanks.
