There should be a stop screwed into the keybed directly above the pedal lift rod. Adjust = the stop down until the bicord dampers are just = coming off the string. To adjust it really “hot” the bottoms of the bicords do not have to clear the top of the = string- leave some of the wedge down between the strings. = <o:p></o:p> <o:p> </o:p> As you minimize the lift off the = strings you are also minimizing the dampers’ return velocity, which will = also minimize the thumping. <o:p></o:p> <o:p> </o:p> BTW, if there is no stop screw = there, just put one in. A 1/4 X 1 inch hex bolt works great. Drill a hole in the = keybed and thread the bolt into it.
