<HTML>To,  who ever you are,          The " Bush & Lane "  is in my opinion ( and many others) is the single best upright piano ever built.  I say this with  50+  years experience in rebuilding pianos.  Several being B&L.  There were two sizes one real big and the other bigger. We called them Jumbo, Jr. and  Jumbo.             The Strauch Bros. name referred to the maker of  the action and keys.   The Strauch Bros. began in 1867 and were located in  N.Y. City.  Their actions were of the highest quality.         Walter Lane  built pianos for and with  A.B. Chase for four years then went into business with one of the Bush family, of "Bush and Gerts".       Market wise (dollar value) your upright is worth little on the open market.      However the musical value is an entirely  different story.   A properly restored  " Bush & Lane" upright in performance and durability  would out perform  6ft. to 6.5 and the majority of 7ft. and some 9 ft.
