<P>Early in my business I tried the postcard. Got zero response. Now after tuning, and especially after a pitch raise and tuning, I mention that customers will ultimately savemoney and preserve their piano by having regular tunings. Then I ask if they would like me to call them in a year (or 6 months). I mention that there is no obligation. About 8 out of 10 say yes and about 8 out of 10 thatI call will book. Good luck</P>

<DIV></DIV>>write on/wipe off frig magnet. Business card size, with a "Next
<DIV></DIV>>Service Due..." line. I'll usually write something like "May/June,
<DIV></DIV>>'04" on it. Gives flexibility. It's been very effective. My most
<DIV></DIV>>regular "civilian" customers are dentists. Go figure.
<DIV></DIV>>Ultimate goal....... an unlisted number. Steady customers and word
