<BR>Have you heard of Napster .com? This is a free service for sharing recorded <BR>music with friends. Although it is controversial because some contend that <BR>it violates copyright laws, presently it is free *and* legal. In my opinion, <BR>this is a good example of its intended use: for sharing *samples* of music <BR>with friends or colleagues for whatever personal reasons.

<BR>I like to use it for an occasional sample for which I have temporary need or <BR>a pop song that I would not buy otherwise, such as "Who let the dog's out?"

<BR>Could you put this recording or a portion of it on Napster and notify the <BR>List? As Ed says, it takes a developed ear to recognize a temperament. I <BR>don't think you could do it electronically.
