the strings
under tension. I follow the tuning pin rows across the piano from bass =
to treble
and back again, the back row first, then the center row, etc. When =
done, all
the strings are loose and tuning pins are backed out. I'm going to try =
the
Dremmel on the wire to remove the coils, cutting on the speaking side of =
the
string to see how it works. It seem to me that controlling the coil end =
of the
string is necessary, to prevent undo scratching and subsequent sanding =
of the
plate during the refinishing process.</FONT></DIV>
