size=4>This afternoon
I had a trouble call one a Baldwin M that I had tuned in a group of 6 in =
the
last couple of weeks. The choir director was complaining about =
double
striking. I got there this afternoon and was going through the =
whole thing
explaining action regulation and I could see his eyes glazing =
over. So I
said why don't you let me work on it for an hour and pay me for =
that
. He said OK and I did. Covered a lot of the small stuff- =
roughing
the tails, moving the backchecks , raising the hammer line, checking =
repetition
spring strength., realigning hammers. Surprising how much you can =
do in an
hour to help. I got my hours work and he got a better playing =
piano.
So that made 5 paying calls for today which helps since I only have 3 =
scheduled
so far for tomorrow.</FONT></STRONG></DIV>
