Most false beat complaints I hear on Kawai pianos have to do with the strings needing seating or aligning, although once in a while there are real problems in there.  For instance, the pressure bars might need to be checked for proper adjustment.  The string angle at the V-bar usually creates sizzles rather than falseness, though, so if muting the strings between the V-bar and the pressure bar seems to help falseness, it sounds more like a string alignment issue. Very often people call me about falseness in our smaller consoles and are surprised to find that if you mute the back scale (the open string lengths below the bridges) it disappears - but then the customers complain about the dull sound!   Sometimes the things that bother we tuners are actually beneficial to the tone.  The 902 should not have this symptom though, as it has felt down there. One final thought - you didn't say how far up in the treble you noticed this.  If you notice it mostly from F7 to the top, then you should try muting the note 1 octave below as you tune unisons in the top octave. The open strings very often ring sympathetically, and the slightly wide octaves can cause really dirty sounding strings.  This seems to get stronger in the first year or two, also, as the strings settle in.
