Along with a pat on the shoulder to the pianist that all is as well as it can be under the circumstances. Sounds like you checked out a few basic repetition issues. You could have looked at a few more just for edification, and perhaps to discuss with the regular tech for the instrument... That can be instructive for your own knowledge. So... how did the pianist end up responding ?
