<HTML><HTML>greetings              I s= erviced a Kimball spinet not too long ago that the hammers "bubbled"/bounced= off the strings when you went to strike a key, there was no let off. It was= worse in the treble than the bass. Here, the let off rail was loose. it was= more loose in the treble than the bass. The let off rail's support brackets= had slipped out of their screws. The solution was to slip the rail's suppor= t brackets back under their respective screws (about 6 or 8 of them) and tig= hten them.
