Hey I agree with your post 100%=

Here's an interesting tid bit. I guess abou=
t ten
years ago or so before gray market was an issue with Yamaha I could get=
a
set of whippens from Yam. in Buena Park by simply calling & saying Hey I=
need parts.

At the time every body else was getting 450 or so=
for a
set of Renner or Tokiwa whippens. But Yamaha whips were only approx.$190.00.=
I
was happily stunned.

Does this tell you any thing about the mark up of=
these
parts we buy. As you say nothing wrong with a profit but once the machines a=
re
set up & working these parts are spewed out in great quantiites & wi=
th
high quality. With Yamaha ,they been churning out parts for decades so=
I
think the R&D cost must have come down a bit by now don't you
think?

My question. So how much is a set of Yamaha whipp=
ens
these days? If they'll sell them to you that is?

By the way I bought the Yamaha whippens to fit a
.............BB Mason& Hamlin?

Yep a 1960 & they fit perfectly once the whip=
pen
flange rail was made flat. It's still in service at Modesto Junior College. =
I
did that twice.

Hmmm. Andre, this..... makes me think about=
your
idea to be creative. As Jeff Goldblum said in Jurassic Park "Life will find =
a
way"!!

Talking about it almost always helps and patience and
diplomacy are
usually the way to progress.
If it is clear that talking, patience and
diplomacy will not help, we
are forced to dig in and use our
