are professional musician types are the ones who have might have specific
voicing requests. The rest of the folks get educated by <me>---"Do
you find it difficult to play "p" (soft) on your piano?"; "Have you noticed some
notes are louder than the others?"; "Have you noticed....." etc., etc.,
etc. I don't limit voicing to any model or make. In my
spiel I always mention that any piano can sound like those old uprights that
sound like tin....that is, if you let them get that way. </FONT></DIV>

owners seem perfectly happy with their pianos. And being an engineer with
quantitative proclivities it is difficult for me to sell a job to a customer
where I cannot guarantee what the results will be nor that they will like

responses. I’ve done the pre-voicing work Roger speaks of, no problem there.
Still does not improve what I consider poor sustain. I want to believe that
better quality hammers will help. I just don’t want to experiment with
hundreds of dollars worth of time and material when the customer isn’t
