<DIV> I guess they think there isn't enough spring wood to make em
crown. </DIV>
<DIV> I once consulted on a warranty call featuring
a new Steinway B with a board made this tight of a grain, It had
about 50 compression ridgy crackys goin on. The client wanted the piano
replaced . Steinway guys said to me"they didn't consider it a problem
unless there was a problem with a rib to panel joint." SO ...I found
one. An inch long or so & barely got the feeler gauge in.</DIV>
<DIV> Heck of it was that ....dang that piano sounded good.</DIV>
<DIV> They replaced it, just prior to the court date. Funny how that
works </DIV>
