Now I have to admit that I really haven't watched all that many different technicians tune a piano - maybe a dozen or two - but I went to Randy's summer seminar a number of years ago and watching Ward work his magic on a set of piano strings was truly performance art of the highest caliber! I know he is a very, very skilled tuner, but I've never seen anyone else become one with the piano like he does. Remember the Vulcan Mind Meld that Spock used to do?
