Dave - please share your impression of watching Ward
Guthrie tune a piano. Now I have to admit that I really haven't watched all that
many different technicians tune a piano - maybe a dozen or two - but I went
to Randy's summer seminar a number of years ago and watching Ward work his magic
on a set of piano strings was truly performance art of the highest caliber! I
know he is a very, very skilled tuner, but I've never seen anyone else become
one with the piano like he does. Remember the Vulcan Mind Meld that Spock used
to do? Ward seems to do a similar thing with the piano. Truly
amazing!
