haven’t seen it on a Young Chang yet, but I would imagine the drop screws
might be close to scraping the pinblock, the metal of the brackets themselves
might show signs of spalling (flaking, cracking), the action spread might be
too wide.<SPAN style="mso-spacerun: yes"> </SPAN>It’s probably supposed
to be close to 112 mm.<SPAN style="mso-spacerun: yes"> </SPAN>(hammer
shank flange center pin to wippen center pin).<SPAN
style="mso-spacerun: yes"> </SPAN>But the main symptom is probably that
the regulation is weird and the piano won’t play right, or feel right.<SPAN
style="mso-spacerun: yes"> </SPAN>Maybe backchecking is not correct, or
hammers are blocking or not dropping – things like that.<SPAN
