<DIV><FONT face="MS Sans Serif">First, make sure the notes in quesiton are regulated properly so you know your getting maximum power from the keystroke. Things to try: File a layer of felt with fine sandpaper, polish with a very fine sandpaper strip. Iron the strike point (careful not to scorch). Pound the strike point with your "Handy-Hammer" or the back end of your voicing tool handle, or pound the key while backing up the strings with a rubber tuning mute. Needle the hammer in the low shoulder.</FONT></DIV>

<DIV> The hammers are on a Samick 6' grand. They are the original hammers. They were needled in the shoulders and as I went along if the sound didnt soften Then , needled closer to their strike points. </DIV>
