<DIV><FONT face=Arial size=2>That's the beauty of the papps wedge. You can pluck
the strings with it so you can feel your way along. No need to see.
Because the papps wedge is relatively stiff compared to a rubber mute you can
run the tip of it along the strings. All the strings are damped except the one
you want to tune because you are holding down that note's key. When the tip of
the wedge plucks that string it sounds, so you know you're at the right
