And here is the trick I had learned from late Dennis Nicholson,RPT.. At 1o’Clock area drill 7/32”hole 1/8 deep so that drilled hole is half-way in the plug and half way in the old pin Block area and it works as a LOCK or CAM and prevents newly installed plug from spinning  around during drilling.You don’t have to wait for glue to set with this technique.This LOCKING technique was used in a lot of ship building joints in the OLD World and it works..I would recommend practicing it first on an old piece of pin block material..When I will master using my new digital camera-I will post a picture of this repair… Good luck.. On one, though, I drilled too far and went about 1/2 inch into the pin block.
