<DIV> Jacks resetting? I am not sure I know what you mean. If you mean jack alignment some were a wee bit off center, however, because the piano was a freebie, and the insides are as new, and seeing it is merely a low end console Aeolean, I chose to let those be; as there were only a few (say 15-20). I wqasnt about to take the wippens out to straighten them on this model.</DIV>

<DIV> If you mean did they reset as far as the key cycle yes, the jacks cycled fully, and I set it up so that there was a wee bit more aftertouch than "should be". I think it just plays more nicely. (It had <EM>loads</EM> of aftertouch in <EM>some</EM> sections before I began, and the jacks flipped out way way past where they should have on those. And, yes, everything just fell into place almost like a magical groove, after I shimmed the following:</DIV>

<DIV> I appreciate your suggestions. I have never levelled all this stuff before. When I started regulating, I just couldnt get my "bearings" and so I kept going back further and further into the cause. I was pretty puzzled and it was like digging deeper and deeper into the problem. I will never again take for granted everything is level as it should be. I now know that it must have been on my first 7 pianos or so, that everything was level. Up to now I just took that for granted. I guess the good Lord thought to take my training up to the next level. (as Emil, the cooking guys says "Kick it up a knotch!".) I was alittle scared and knew I was being pretty bold to take these levelling matters into my own hands. I had never before took such a "drastic" measure when refurbishing an orphan. It was hard to just <EM><STRONG><U>trust</U></STRONG></EM> myself as in the back of my mind I know I am a rookie.</DIV>
