<DIV class=RTE>Thanks to all of you who responded. The problem was solved by a couple of respondents. The fall board had small brass plates on either end, hidden until you tipped the fall board forward. In addition the plates were darkend by age to the color of the walnut wood surrounding them and so hard to see. But thanks to the list's help all turned out well. Thanks again</DIV>
