My friends----
<p>
It seems like forever, a whole life, since <B>the Atelier</B> last opened its doors to a concert---but it's only been 8 months: eight busy, hectic, overwhelming, beautiful months. The rains are done, and now we're ready once again to present some of the finest artists I've ever heard. The one we're inviting you to now is the <B>first of the season</B>, but definitely not the last. We've got amazing things lined up for the <B>fall</B>; please stay tuned.
<p>
A little while ago, 2 men from different lives, different paths, but speaking the same ancient, powerful musical and rhythmic language, came together in an <B>almost chance meeting</B>; there were two pianos---nice pianos---right there, ready to go. The atmosphere felt right. The two men sat down and began "messing around."
<p>
An hour later, the two men realized they had experienced something transcendental, something beautiful, and something incredibly, joyously fun. They vowed to find a way to do it again.
<p>
It is my great and sincere pleasure to provide that second meeting, in a very intentional way, because I know, like, and respect both of these men so much. Two titans, still young, still growing, already wildly successful by many measures.
<p>
<B>Tamir Hendelman</B> is a tremendous piano player, a tremendous store of pan-genre musical ideas and melodies, and an inspiring human being. I can only say it's been a complete pleasure to work with him on all levels. His performances, every one I've seen: he gives his all. And what an "all" it is....
<p>
Talk about "pan-genre:" I believe there's a picture of <B>Mike Garson</B> in the dictionary next to that phrase. I met the man at an international conference at which he was the featured performer; he played classical music, jazz, pop, completely experimental stuff---amazing. I got a chance to talk to him, like him a lot, and invited him to the Atelier, which he loved. The rest, as we say, is history.
<p>
For those who already know and love the Atelier, thank you from deep in my heart for your support; for those of you who will be coming for the first time, a warm welcome.
