I have found the high tenor will sometimes be too stretched for me...I don't find a lot else that jumps out at me when using my SAT III...<BR><BR>What I find the most useful in a quality ETD is the ability to see how much that piano tuning is changing underneath you as you tune. A quick check back a couple of octaves can find that it is still going flat a bit after a pitch raise. To aurally assess this would take some time...<BR><BR>I'd suggest every aural tuner check out an ETD, if nothing else, just to prove to themselves the superiority of their un-aided tuning...;-]<BR>I also think every beginning tuner should be learning to tune by ear. <DIV><SPAN class=839355803-10072006><FONT size=2>I have to agree there, but I don't want to........... I would say not one in ten tunings do I do totally just the way the tuning curve is set. I'm always tweaking little things here and there to accomate tiny little things which seem inconsistent to me, and then I finally listen and play the piano to hear if my (limited) ears think it's right. I intuit a lot with Tune Lab, and have gotten fairly good at the changes I've made to standard tunings. Folks seem to have been pleased.</FONT></SPAN></DIV>
