I called Yamaha about this problem a year or two ago and the tech said
I should spray the fronts with white paint(!). Having already seen how
bad that looks, I passed on his suggestion and have since devised a way
to cut the fronts off and glue on new fronts, available from Yamaha.

A common problem with some older (1970s) Yamaha pianos is that
the plastic fronts of the keys would turn yellow. I think I remember
something about Yamaha replacing these for free? Maybe? Maybe not?
Anyone know what the situation is and/or who to contact at Yamaha about
this?
