squeak...with the action outside of the piano. It is definitely
something in the action itself. </DIV>

getting too much friction from the damper lift rod. I will
try the McLube suggestion from Paul McCloud. </DIV>

connects the trap lever to the pedal itself, check where the bolt runs
through the pedal. I have encountered squeaky groans at that
interface, when the bolt rubs on the sides of the hole in the pedal.
My remedy is to remove the pedal, enlarge the hole slightly, and bush it
with leather.</FONT></DIV>
