humorous........................ If you get "color" in your email,
the red is my addition. This is a lady with a GH-1, living in a $3million
home. The piano might be five years old. I suggested the first time I
tuned it that she get a string cover, but it seemed a bit too much money- even
while there bought-by-cash $120K Mercedes sat in the driveway. Now there
is a slight bit of oxidation and it MUST be time to get a new piano. I
said she probably should get a new one if she would give me hers. Otherswise,
why not wait another 40 years or so......................
Sheesh.</FONT></SPAN></DIV>

<DIV>Dear Leslie,</DIV>
<DIV> </DIV>
<DIV>Thank you for all your work and for the helpful information. I'm so
glad you found the check-- and it was no bother to receive your message.</DIV>
<DIV> </DIV>
<DIV>I will definitely buy the string cover on-line. If you do find out
the reason we have the black specs on the strings, please let me know.</DIV>
<DIV> </DIV>
<DIV>You did a great job on the tuning-- i played it this morning, and it
sounded like a brand new piano- thank you!!!</DIV>
<DIV> </DIV>
<DIV><FONT color=#ff0000>With the strings looking like they do, maybe it's time
to think about buying a new piano??,</FONT> even though this one sounds
great. I would appreciate your thoughts on this idea....</DIV>
<DIV><FONT face=Arial color=#0000ff size=2></FONT> </DIV>
<DIV>Please advise. Thank you,</DIV>

<BR> <FONT face=Arial size=2>Sorry
to have bothered your cell phone. I have had persons who simply forgot
to write checks, and it came to them some time later……. You will know by
now that I do have the check. Thank you.</FONT></DIV>
<DIV><FONT face=Arial size=2>I wish to suggest again that you consider Edwards
String Covers. You can google them. You may order one yourself and I'll
just be out of the loop. The price you pay them would be the price you pay
me. I would simply make a few dollars because I'm a tech and get a
"technician's price". If you were to have your piano "cleaned" every
three or four years, you would probably have approached the cost of the string
cover, and in the mean time your copper wound strings would continue to
oxidize, and more of those little black dots on the strings would show up. I
can't for the life of me figure why you have them, and I even called Yamaha to
try to get some answers. Usually it's mice or roaches, but there was
absolutely nothing inside the piano to indicate such was an
issue. I have only sold a couple of these relatively
expensive covers, but both who have them swear up and down they are the best
purchase they've ever made regarding their pianos………….</FONT></DIV>
