"real" pianist can speak more clearly to the "playability" of a piano than a
tech with very few piano skills. I played well enough to get through a masters
degree <EM>vocal</EM> piano barrier, which isn't much, and would never qualify
me as a pianist. I often tell people to have good pianist play the thing,
then let a qualified tech look at the "machine" part of it, and then persons
would have a fairly clear picture of what they were purchasing. It seems
to me it's a "we're in this together" situation, rather than a place for wall

could provide a much more thorough evaluation, but certainly any experience
piano player could provide a more informed opinion regarding a piano's general
