piano the other day. It’s a F. Kain & Sohn (84 keys) from <st1:City
w:st="on"><st1:place w:st="on">Stuttgart</st1:place></st1:City>. The
Piano Atlas numbers don’t go back far enough for this one (# is 6279) but
the owner thinks it’s from late 1800s. The case is in fantastic
shape but the inside needs a lot of work. She wanted it tuned, everyone
else had refused, and I managed to at least get it in tune with itself (50
cents flat) without breaking any strings. (sigh of relief!)<o:p></o:p></span></font></p>
