I too saw this in an old Lyon & Healy grand that we rebuilt a few
years back. Interesting that we both found them in LH
grands. I assumed at the time they were some type of
heating/dehumidification system, but it was just an assumption. We
find interesting heating units inside old Hammond organs also.<br><br>

and Healy baby grand? It looks kinda like an electrical outlet, but
it's not. This piano has four of these: two inside the rim like the
one in the pic, and two on the rim on the UNDERSIDE of the piano.
There is one two-lead electrical wire running in series through all four
of them, but no tag lead hanging off from either end that would suggest
hooking them up to something else. Weird. Anybody know?<br>
