my appointed time to tune a Steinway M at a mountain ranch. The fire department
was still dousing the burning embers of ranch and piano as I pulled in the
drive. Family all standing around in their PJs. ( All true so far) Well, I just
pulled out my trusty bill pad and hit 'em for a missed appointment.</FONT></DIV>

years ago. I walked up to the front door maybe a few minutes late, knocked,
and the lady answered the door. She appear rather panicked, tears streaming
down her face. "My husband just had a heart attack and they took him to the
hospital - I didn't want to leave because I knew you were
coming."</FONT></DIV>
