will usually find a pile of dried graphite on the spring and the leather.
Replace the leather if necessary. Or clean the crap off, clean the spring and lube
with V.J. Replace the punchings on either side of the lever if necessary and
lube anything that touches something else including the pin with a thin film of
V.J.<o:p></o:p></span></font></p>

check the guide rail bushings and the metal rod for graphite at the bushing and

Steinway pedal system is a dream to work on. You can remove the pedal assembly
by removing the six screws on the plate and pull the whole thing out without

the trapwork to get to it? I've rebuilt pedal lyres and the trapwork, so
I'm comfortable with that work, but have not yet had to diagnose and fix
