in terms of left/right orientation. If they are not perfect, the string
grooves will not line up with the strings and the tone will suffer. I
usually plan on hammer shaping as well if the hammers are starting to get
grooved. If nobody has tried to regulate the action, things should fall
back in place. If someone regulated it after the brackets started to
expand (fairly common if they don't understand the problem), you will have a
fair amount of regulating to undo what they did.

What is an average estimate of time to
replace the grand action brackets on the Young Chang's? Can we simply unscrew
the brackets and install new or is there more leveling to the keyframe prior
to re-regulating everything? (Hey, maybe this will turn into another class at
the convention!)

Sure enough, I ran into a 1991 piano that someone
did a full regulation on this one three years and things are already
drifting!!! I regulated another grand last summer with the same
