<DIV><FONT face=Arial size=2>Terry, how can you be in the piano business with
such a tidy bench as that? I think there should be a law against your type, as
you are just doing it to make us plebs look bad!!! Great bench mate, but hate to
tune it standing on my head!</FONT></DIV>

<DIV><FONT face=Arial size=2>Glad you asked! My answer half-way meets your
preference of not building one, as half of it is pre-built. Take a Betsy Ross
spinet (now a bench frame), bolt on little 2x6 extensions on the keybed
supports (remove keybed) and the bottom leg supports. Roll the piano forward
so that the back is facing upwards. Attach a suitable flat surface to the
piano back for your bench-top. I chose to use planks of hard maple and
oak with an epoxy coating. The bench-top could be a simple as a hunk of
plywood.</FONT></DIV>
<DIV><FONT face=Arial size=2></FONT> </DIV>
<DIV><FONT face=Arial size=2>This is a super-stable, super-massive,
super-heavy-duty table one can build for about $20 and literally complete in
just a couple hours.</FONT></DIV>
<DIV><FONT face=Arial size=2></FONT> </DIV>
<DIV><FONT face=Arial size=2>And besides, it is the only musical table on the
market - the Betsy Ross never sounded so musical - each tool banged on the
back strikes it own cord!</FONT></DIV>
<DIV><FONT face=Arial size=2></FONT> </DIV>
<DIV><FONT face=Arial size=2>Only drawback - do I need to tune it once per
year?</FONT></DIV>

have suggestions for a good work bench? I know build one. I
would like to not have to do that how ever. I want a bench just for
action work and bench reg. I plan to build a bench for other jobs, but
I would like to perches something stable for regulation. Thanks.
