have a number of hammers to fix. I don't use CA glue for every
repair either, but IMHO, this is an excellent task for CA. I
simply spray between the felt and core with accelerator, squirt in a bit of
thick CA, finger clamp for 8.7 seconds and move on to the next hammer. Works
great and is very fast. </FONT></DIV>

the felt by gluing it and tying it with nylon thread.

20 or so inches long. Tie a loop in the end of your thread with a short tail
of 3-4 inches, and a long tail of a dozen plus inches. Hold the loop, wrap the
long tail around the felt, thread it through the loop and pull it tight.
Continue wrapping the long tail around the hammer in the opposite direction
while holding onto the short tail. When you run out of thread from making
wraps, tie it off with the short tail. <o:p></o:p></SPAN></FONT></P>

glue, close the felt with vise grips. secure the joint by driving
a small screw though the felt and into the molding, or use a wire twist tie
around the hammer. Screws can be removed at next tuning if you
