<div>If you don't have a junk action lying around or don't want to take the time to remove all of the eyes. </div>
<div> </div>
<div>Use a simple piece of 1"X3" or 4" about 40" long with a double wide slot cut down the middle w/ a skill saw or table saw leaving the ends closed about 2 inches in on each end. Make 2 "legs" for it about 7 to 8" long from the same material and secure them to each end with glue and screws. If you want to get fancy you can add a piece of 3/4"X1/4" material next to the slot for the bass end, standing on the 1/4" edge, so your wedge dampers are supported above the flat surface. Clean, simple, done in about a half hour.
