<DIV>Hey Rob,</DIV>
<DIV> </DIV>
<DIV>We have rebuilt several of these pianos and I personally like the older Bluthner grands better than the new ones I have played. To be fair, most of the new ones I've played have been att NAMM, so that might not be a fair comparison.</DIV>
<DIV> </DIV>
<DIV>Julius Bluthner designed a piano that is perfect in high classical repertoire. The suspended aliquot certainly makes a difference IMHO. I have heard models with and without it and I prefer a Bluthner with the aliquot. It doesnt do as well in later music, as its tone is not as big as a Mason or a Steinway, but the tone, man. It can make you cry.</DIV>
<DIV> </DIV>
<DIV>What kind of value do you need? Retail? Insurance? Wholesale?</DIV>
<DIV> </DIV>
<DIV>I am happy to offer a somewhat experienced opinion.</DIV>

<DIV><FONT face=Arial size=2>The owner wants to know what it's worth as well as some estimates on rebuilding it. I have my own ideas of what I'd charge to perform the rebuilding but I'm not certain what it is worth over all. Having four treble strings certainly makes it unique and it would probably be a fine instrument when completely rebuilt. I imagine the rebuilt retail would be quite hefty.</FONT></DIV>
