Just to be clear I've used the Bolduc glue exclusively
& I really Like it. My
real complaint is that it's expensive & I can't buy it bulk. To me
it's such a great glue.

As to clamping ,When I make pinblocks I make them one at a
time no double panels......so it's not a wide panel & I can get clamps
every where. I always check for glue lines and such & I have no
issues with my protocol except I use every clamp I have. I'm looking for
another way to laminate them. Even so it's not difficult or arduous to
make these blocks with proper equipment & haven't tuned many others
that make smile as much as this. It's all Farrells fault. HE
made the first one for me one about 4 years ago & I
got hooked.

It's very satisfying. With a 6 mm delignit bridge
cap top and quarter sawn maple cross banded under neath there
is, for all intents and purposes zero flag poling & such a accurate &
smooth tuning.

Thanks to all for all the glue
advise

face="Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif">I've used the Bolduc glue for pinblock
lamination for several years when I'm oversizing them or building up
multi-level blocks. The only issue for me is even clamping pressure and the
size of the panels that I've been working with since I don't have a full
soundboard press system (still buying them from Andre with nary a complaint
other than I ache to be making them myself :-). I don't see why it wouldn't
work with rib stock laminates as well. As I recall, Andre told me several
years ago when I was interviewing him for the Journal that he uses his own
glue for the pinblocks he makes as well. You might ask
him.

Paul
