<DIV> We have completed the task of designing and producing
replacement buttons and mortise inserts. These are the only buttons and mortise
inserts made to within one-thousandth of an inch in accuracy and bushed by hand
with hot hide glue. The buttons are made of basswood, and upon request can be
made of beech or poplar. The mortise inserts are strictly made of basswood. They
are available bushed or unbushed. </DIV>
<DIV> Another first, is that we have made the "mortise"
of the buttons and mortise inserts 3 different sizes for the different size pins
in use, this allows for the proper size cloth, which promotes dimensional
stability.</DIV>
<DIV>size 1: for pin sizes .125, .129, .131, .133</DIV>
<DIV>size 2: for pin sizes .137, .146, .152</DIV>
<DIV>size 3: for pin size .162</DIV>
<DIV> </DIV>
<DIV>The buttons are a standard length and off-set for the majority of pianos
and have a generous side-to-side spacing for ease of application. The mortise
inserts are long enough and wide enough for any standard key and are easy to
