I have a customer with a Ludwig upright made in 1902. The muffler bar is missing. This is a very beautiful piano and I hate to fabricate something out of aluminum. I'm hoping that someone has a muffler bar from an old piano which would fit the character of this instrument. The inside dimension is 55 7/8 inch. I can cut it shorter it I find one too long, or I can attach blocks to the inside of the case if it is a little bit too short. If you have one you would like to part with, let me know.
