that I enumerated. Other than those I really did like RCT, I’m pretty
sure I said that. I personally try to live by the Eighth Commandment and if I

believe I should be able to freely use it on whatever machine I own. Otherwise
let’s drop the pretense that I’m purchasing it. I’m only
renting it and I have to ask permission and jump through hoops to port it from

style='font-size:10.0pt;font-family:Tahoma'>Hey Now,<br>
<br>
I've been following this thread with a great deal of interest. As a long time
RTC user I'm reluctant to criticize Dean Reyburn in a public forum. In fact I
think he has on ocasion posted to the list and am surprised he has not offered
up some defense or explanation to some of the comments. Further I think he's a
nice guy and entitled to make a buck or two off of his software. <br>
<br>
My more recent problems with the RTC product and policy is different from <st1:PersonName
w:st="on">Dean May</st1:PersonName>'s recent episode. I thought that every
thing that could go wrong has happened to me! Come to find out other guys have
worse luck! I think there has been a few misstatements.. First,
the upgrade down loads are free. Provided you do it online. If Dean
has to mail it to you, there is a charge. The charge that <st1:PersonName
w:st="on">Dean May</st1:PersonName> referred to is a licensing free for
Microsoft Windows Mobil 5.0. This is what Dean Reyburn told me via Email. <br>
<br>
My problems with the product software is and has been that the current version
you are running expires after about one year. This has not been mentioned
thus far. The first time it happened to me a couple of years ago I kept getting
a warning that your version 1. whatever is about to expire. I though to
myself...that can't be right, I'm paid for this product it can't expire! After
about a month in the middle of a tuning sure enough it stopped working. Several
soft boots after the crash and no luck no cyber tuner. After hearing the
explanation on the phone the next day, I scoured the text in the manuel trying
find anything written that would indicate my software would only work for about
a year. I could find nothing to indicate this. So from that point on, I
diligently upgraded my software from time to time (for free) via the web
page. <br>
<br>
Now on to my current issues. The last time I upgraded (again for free), I
received a disturbing message. I can't quote it verbatim but in essence, it
said that they can no longer support older operating systems so if you were
running a system after a certain date, I think it was 2001 or 02 you were
SOL. I had been thinking my trusty HP PDA was more than four years old and had
been working quite well. I guess I had been lucky cause I've never had any
real problems with it. So I decided to heed the warnings and got me a new HP
PDA with you guessed it Windows Mobil 5.0. Unknown to me at the time I would
have plunk down a couple of hundred bucks just to run software I've already
paid for. Needless to say this really p----d me off!<br>
<br>
Well that's my story. I have more on my experience with the Verituner but I
thought that I had probably rambled on long enough. I am very tempted to try
the 30 day free trail for Tune Lab.<br>
<br>
One more thing, my hats off to you aural guy's and girls. <br>
