I'm wondering why they still need 5000 inch pounds of torque on the tuning pins!!@@#$#!!!, like some Baldwins of yesteryear. Had a DH Baldwin yesterday - hardest thing my tuning arm has endured in a while (glad it was the last one of the day, but my shoulder still hurts this morning). Coulda used a breaker bar on it, and still would have struggled.

These are made at Trumann, Ark. plant, 43.5" console. Seemed put together fairly well for an entry level piano, but they have a very nasally tinny Kimbally sound (worse than any Hamilton some listees have complained about in the past; can you say "Schoenhut"?). Diane H's earplugs helped me get through that part of it, but I'd need a bionic arm to tune those on a regular basis. Not something I'd recommend, at $3700 retail (Piano Book Supplement, Larry Fine), but neat to see those different colors on the plate and action anyway.
