even tried to get some felt in between the polyester, which usually works with

The problem is not in the pedals. The problem is the polyester rubbing
against itself. Make sure the screws that hold the lyre braces are screwed
in very tight. Make sure the bolts that hold the lyre box to the bottom of
the piano are very tight. If they still squeak, put a little v-j lube
between the parts. While you're at it, also check to make sure the bench
legs and the leg bolts are tight.

I have a customer with a 7' Kohler and Campbell that has pedal noise/squeek.
To her credit, she researched these before purchase and knew it was a problem.
She was told that the 'Millenium Series' didn't have the same design, so it
wouldn't have the same problem.
Now she finds that that is not the case.
I have taken the lyre apart and it seems that only replacing the whole assembly
will solve the problem!
What kind of junk is that?!
So, is there any other wisdom out there to fix this problem?
If I do get a new pedal pivot assembly, how do I know it won't do the same thing
a few years down the road?
thanks,
